Ingredients

• 1 (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
• 1 teaspoon salt
• Freshly ground black pepper 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 pound biscuit baking mix
• 2 large carrots, sliced
• 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
• 5 large potatoes, peeled and chopped

Instructions

1. Place chicken pieces in a large saucepan over medium heat and add enough water to cover 3 inches over the chicken. Add the salt, celery, bell peppers, carrots, celery and potatoes. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 40 minutes.
2. In a mixing bowl, biscuit mix cook according to package directions. After simmering soup for 40 minutes, drop rounded tablespoons of the biscuit mixture into the pan and let them a little between additions of dumplings cook, so they do not stick together.
3. Mix with a whisk and about 1 1/2 cups of water with the flour, then add flour mixture to the soup pot until the broth has the consistency of gravy. Dig in and enjoy the meal!

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.
